Terms of sales

1. The product

CryptoTxn is a merchant home screen for servers you already run. It is not a wallet. The app does not hold coins, seed phrases, xpubs, or wallet private keys. If you use the NFC Manager, the Bolt card keys you create are stored in the iOS Keychain on your iPhone.

Two ways to use it:

• Hosted by CryptoTxn. Free. The app uses the public instance at cryptotxn.net.
• My own server. You point the app at a server you control. This unlock is a one-time purchase of €9.99 on the Apple App Store. 

There is no recurring fee for the app.

2. The purchase

The €9.99 unlock is sold through Apple. Apple charges your Apple ID. The price you see in the App Store includes the tax Apple applies in your country. CryptoTxn does not take your card details.

Hosted mode stays free. Uninstalling the app stops that use.

3. Refunds

Ask Apple for a refund of an App Store purchase. Apple decides those requests under Apple’s terms.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, rights that the law does not let us remove still apply. The unlock is digital content delivered by Apple. Where the law still gives you a withdrawal right, we will honour it.

4. No custody

We do not hold, store, or control your bitcoin, private keys, or seed phrases. Payments go through BTCPay Server, on cryptotxn.net or on your own server, into the wallet you configured there. We cannot reverse a bitcoin payment. We are not responsible for an underpayment, an overpayment, or a payment sent to the wrong invoice.

5. Your server and your staff

In own-server mode you choose the URLs. You are responsible for that server, its backups, and who can reach it.

You set the admin PIN and the staff PIN. You decide which tiles staff can open. The default is the POS keypad only. You are responsible for the phone at the till.

6. Hosted instance

The public instance at cryptotxn.net is provided as is. We do not promise uninterrupted uptime. You use it at your own risk, and you remain responsible for your wallets and backups. The agency terms for that instance also sit at cryptotxn.io/terms.

7. Not a bank

CryptoTxn is not a bank, an exchange, or a payment institution. We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own tax and regulatory duties.

8. Other products

BTCPay Server, Blue Wallet, Blink, Umbrel, and the other tools you open from the app are separate projects. Their terms apply to them. CryptoTxn is not affiliated with those projects or with Apple. Apple’s licensed application terms apply to the App Store and to the purchase.

9. Support

Questions about the app: hodl@cryptotxn.io. Setup, nodes, and hosting are quoted separately on cryptotxn.io. They are not included in the €9.99 unlock.

10. Liability

The app and the hosted instance are provided as is. To the extent Belgian law allows, CryptoTxn is not liable for lost profits, lost data, downtime, or lost funds. Nothing here limits liability that Belgian or EU law does not allow us to limit.

11. Law

Belgian law governs these terms. The courts of Belgium have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home country.

12. Acceptance

Installing the app, using hosted mode, or buying the own-server unlock means you accept these terms.
