Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

CryptoTxn, a company in Belgium, is the data controller for this website and for the CryptoTxn iOS app.

The company site is cryptotxn.io. It has its own privacy policy. The hosted checkout at cryptotxn.net is a BTCPay Server instance. This policy covers cryptotxn.app and the app.

2. What the app is

CryptoTxn is a control panel for servers you already run. It is not a wallet. It does not hold bitcoin. It does not store seed phrases, wallet private keys, xpubs, or balances. We do not receive or store your seed phrase, wallet private keys, or xpub. Bolt card keys created in the NFC Manager stay on your device and are never sent to us.

3. Data we collect

On this website we keep the usual server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. We use them to run and protect the site. If you write to us, we keep the name, email address, and message you send.

In the app:

• The server address you choose, so the app can show whether that instance is online and synced. The check is a request to your server at /api/v1/health.
• If you use Hosted by CryptoTxn, the app opens the public instance at cryptotxn.net. Store data you create there stays in that BTCPay instance.
• If you buy the own-server unlock, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your card number. Apple may tell us that the unlock was bought.

We do not ask for seed phrases, private keys, xpubs, wallet balances, or backup locations. Do not send them to us.

4. Why we use it

We use this data to run the site and the app, to answer you, to confirm an App Store purchase, and to meet tax and accounting duties when a contract or invoice exists.

Under the GDPR the lawful bases are: a contract, our legitimate interest in running a secure site, your consent when you contact us, and a legal obligation where Belgian law requires us to keep records. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with Apple when you buy through the App Store, with providers who host this website or our email, and with authorities when the law requires it. Those providers are under contract. We keep processing in the European Economic Area where we can. If a transfer outside the EEA is required, we use a GDPR safeguard such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

• Messages you send us: up to 2 years.
• Invoices and contract records: 7 years, as Belgian law requires.
• Server logs: only as long as we need them for security, then we delete or anonymise them.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, or limit your data. You can object to processing and ask for a copy. You can withdraw consent.

8. Cookies

This site uses the cookies WordPress needs to function. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell browsing data. You can block cookies in your browser.

9. Children

The app is for shop owners and operators. It is not directed at children.

10. Changes

When this policy changes, we change the date at the top. The company privacy policy for consulting and setup work stays at cryptotxn.io/privacy-policy.
